the whole “i love you” debate is a really weird one. it sucks looking back on past relationships, when you told someone that you loved them back, but then shitty stuff happened, and then you realized you really mustve not loved them. or when someone told you they loved you, only to be nothing but shitty to you. or when someone said it so soon that you couldnt imagine how they could’ve possibly understood how serious their words were, and how they possibly couldve understood the magnitude of what thats supposed to mean. this time is so much different. when it feels genuine. when it feels like the person would do anything for you, and you for them. and when you want nothing more than to spend every day with them. and when you feel like you’re actually valued and respected and like you’re encouraged to be a better version of yourself, just because of them.
